Who will win Ironman Hawaii this year? The World Championships take place on October 10th (Saturday). Ironman.com will have articles and interviews throughout the week on the build-up to the big day. We will also try and get some updates from our Coach Adrienne as she prepares for her first Ironman World Championship.
We’d really like to know who your favourite racers are? Who are you pulling for?
Both the men’s and women’s race are really deep this year. Yes, there are some favourites. Chrissie is heavily favoured to repeat again but the other women are gaining on her. Plus, does the fastest always win? It is a long day and a lot can happen. Keat, Wallenhorst, Csomor, vanVelerkan, Carfrae and Morrison make this the most competitive women’s field to date. Interesting things happen when more that one racer puts pressure on the favourite.
It seems many people are picking Crowie to repeat. Its tough though. The men’s race is much closer and tighter. There is very little room for error and a lot of men who want that title.
Take our survey and we will post the results later this week
Not sure who to pick or who is in the hunt? Check out these two articles on Slowtwitch that give a really good summary of the top contenders (women, men).
