Scott provides bike fits online or in-person using motion analysis software. This technology is important to get accurate measurements but more important is choosing a fitter that knows what they are doing. Scott has years of personal experience racing, a masters degree with a specialty in biomechanics, substantial experience researching, analyzing and executing sport motion analyses to athlete's of all levels. These are dynamic fits, in that, the measurements are taken while you are riding. Some bike fitter's do fits while you are not pedalling. This is not ideal since your body angles can change accidentally when you stop. With our motion analysis software we record video of your cycling and then freeze the video and take the measurements. We look at ankle, knee, hip, torso and elbow angles to give you a position that finds the right balance of safety, comfort and performance for you. I will also check your cleat placement and lateral knee movement. After the initial analysis, we will make adjustments to your bike and re-analyze your pedalling to make sure the changes improved your position. A few days later, you will receive a final report which includes some pictures of your analysis. Home fits - take 1.5 to 2 hours and the fee is $125. Each additional 30 minutes over 2 hours costs an additional $25. Online fits- requires that you take good video which you can upload to the internet. We then analyze that video and email with you about making changes. You then make the changes you want to make and send us back a new video of you riding and we re-analyze your fit. Each fit includes these two rounds of analyses and a final report. The fee is $75. If you would like to continue trying new changes and have us re-analyze a new position then that can be done for $25 for every additional analysis.
