From time to time, everyone comes across barriers which prevent them from reaching their goals. Beginner's certainly have a lot to learn when they start training and racing. And, experienced triathletes come across new barriers or simply keep hitting the same barrier and are looking for a new approach that can help them reach their individual goals. As a coach, Scott has the education and experience to help all types of athlete's get the information they need.
Here are some example barriers that we have helped athlete's overcome:
- Race nutrition caused an athlete to vomit multiple times during the Ironman run leg causing them to under-perform.
- Another athlete struggles with pacing properly in a Half Ironman. They either go way too easy early on or blow up on the run because they went too hard.
- A third athlete simply gets overly anxious on race day. They have problem sleeping at night, develop stomach problems and have the odd "freak out" attack when something goes wrong race week.
Anything is fair game in a consultation but we recommend athlete's seriously look at themselves in the mirror and ask themselves if any of these 9 topics are holding them back:
- Training
- Recovery
- Swim/Bike/Run Mechanics and Equipment
- Race Fuel
- Daily Sport Nutrition
- Injury and Safety
- Mental Training
- Race Preparation and Execution
- Life Balance
