Camp Description
This camp thoroughly prepares you for Ironman racing. It also provides a week of great training and holidaying in the Okanagan. Our main lecture is on how to race your best Ironman. In this lecture, we discuss everything you need to know to have the best race possible. This discussion is very beneficial for newbies, as well as, experienced Ironman athletes.
Our coaches have raced dozens of Ironmans at the top of their age groups. They have all raced in the World Championships in Kona and will be able to share their expertise throughout the week. Our coaching goes beyond Ironman though. Factor 9 prides itself on being a student of sports and we will pass on the latest in coaching science throughout the week.
The training sessions are set up to give your fitness and confidence a big boost with a big week on the Ironman course and surrounding areas. Apart from just training, you will also be coached. This means that we will help you with your bike skills, running form and swim technique throughout the week.
The Okanagan is one of the best places to train in the summer. It is hard to find training areas that offer the variety of scenic riding, running and open water swimming that the Okanagan can offer. And, we also add-in special dinners in great locations so you can thoroughly enjoy your vacation.
This camp is not only for the Ironman athlete though. Half Ironman (70.3) athletes would also benefit by taking part in an extensive training week and learning how to race faster.
